Craigend Gardens opened in May 2001 for the purpose of caring for elderly people in the community. There is accomodation for 48 residents and all bedrooms have an en-suite facility. The Unit is situated in the East-end of Glasgow within easy reach of the city centre, motorways and local amenities.
The home has recently undergone some refurbishment and this has enhanced the communal environment of the home. The dining rooms lead to balcony areas that overlook the large gardens, which can be used by the residents and their families to relax and unwind.
The home offers a wide range of activities that are geared to the needs of the people living there and the home also has the use of the Company mini bus to take residents on excursions to the local places of interest.
